Metro’s English Tongue Twister Competition

On 18th, June 2007, Metro International English (DG) held the ECA English Tongue Twister Competition in Club area. Aiming at “participation comes before competition”, this activity broke with the traditional competitiveness-oriented model as to set prizes for winners only, instead this game offered the participants an “enjoyable” rather than “competitive” atmosphere; “Every participant is the best! ” Participants and organizers came to realize after the game the importance of cultural exchange besides language learning. This Tongue Twister Competition included three 3 parts --- firstly a self-introduction, secondly 15 tongue twisters and last part one minute reading or one breath reading with sideshows by students; Everyone enjoyed this activity very much and laughter were heard all through the game; This game was for the students a good chance to practice spoken English, a platform to test their courage, most importantly a media to present the best of themselves “舌尖上的舞蹈”---首届英文绕口令大赛 6月18日美联国际英语（东莞）中心举办了室内ECA活动，本届比赛本着“参与第一，享受英语”的宗旨，分basic,beginner,intermediate级别比赛，突破传统比赛模式，不设置任何奖项，充分给大家营造了一个“活动”而非“比赛”的氛围。“每个参与者都是最棒的”！通过本次比赛，学员与比赛组织者也深刻体会到语言学习之外，中西文化交流的必要性。活动分3部分举办，包括自我介绍，15道Tongue Twister的朗读，一分钟和一口气朗读，中间穿插学员以及员工的节目；整个活动气氛热烈，笑声不断；参赛学员在享受英语中也充分锻炼了英语；活动锻炼了大家的口语表达能力，提高了学员的英文学习兴趣，更为广大参赛学员提供了一个训练胆量与表现自我的平台
